“Our Unwritten Seoul” has been captivating viewers with its heartwarming lines!

tvN’s “Our Unwritten Seoul” tells the story of two twin sisters with polar-opposite personalities who lead completely different lives. Park Bo Young plays identical twins Yoo Mi Ji and Yoo Mi Rae, who look alike but are different in every other way.

    Spoilers

Here are the top three memorable lines from the characters that touched the hearts of viewers:

“Yesterday is over, tomorrow is far away, and today is still unknown.”

In the drama, Yoo Mi Ji, who once had dreams of becoming a track athlete, fell into deep despair after a sudden accident forced her off the track of her dreams. To Mi Ji, who was afraid to step back into the world, her grandmother, Kang Wol Soon (Cha Mi Kyung), gently comforted her wounded heart, saying, “Yesterday is over, tomorrow is far away, and today is still unknown. Let’s live today.”

Thanks to her grandmother’s words, Yoo Mi Ji was finally able to stand up again. Every morning, she stepped outside the door she once shut herself behind, reciting like a mantra, “Yesterday is over, tomorrow is far away, and today is still unknown. Let’s go.” These lines, which pulled Mi Ji from the darkness back into the light, delivered a moving message of encouragement to all those who are facing today after a painful past.

“There’s always a reason when someone hides something. And there needs to be a reason to dig it up too.”

Lee Ho Su (GOT7’s Jinyoung), who endures lifelong scars and injuries from a childhood car accident, has moved past the days when he bristled at revealing his weaknesses and now lives with solid inner strength. A thoughtful Ho Su, who doesn’t easily reveal secrets someone doesn’t want disclosed, has protected the secrets of his first love Yoo Mi Ji, his classmate Song Kyung Gu (Moon Dong Hyuk), and even the owner of Rosa’s Diner, Kim Rosa (Won Mi Kyung). When Mi Ji tried to uncover Kim Rosa’s secret, Ho Su drew a line, telling her, “There’s always a reason when someone hides something. And there needs to be a reason to dig it up too.”

Furthermore, when Yoo Mi Ji was struggling to confess a secret, Ho Su’s words, “Do it when you feel comfortable,” eased her burden. His words brought both excitement and comfort to those living with untold secrets in their hearts.

“Grab onto anything that’s even a little good, joyful, or pleasant.”

After the death of his grandfather—his only family—Han Se Jin (Ryu Kyung Soo) gave up his successful job as an asset manager and moved alone to Dusonri to farm. Yoo Mi Rae, who now works with him on his strawberry farm, is contemplating quitting her job due to workplace harassment.

Reflecting on his own regrets after losing someone precious, Se Jin encouraged Yoo Mi Rae’s choice, saying, “Grab onto anything that’s even a little good, joyful, or pleasant.” He gave her the courage to make decisions that were even slightly for herself, rather than agonizing over trying to protect everything she had built. Han Se Jin’s realistic and comforting words, which imply that simply enduring isn’t everything, left a deep impression on viewers.

“Our Unwritten Seoul” airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m. KST.
