MBC’s upcoming drama “Mary Kills People” has revealed its first poster!
“Mary Kills People” follows the story of Woo So Jung (Lee Bo Young), a doctor who illegally assists terminally ill patients with euthanasia, and a detective who tracks her down. In addition to Lee Bo Young, the drama also stars Lee Min Ki, Kang Ki Young, Baek Hyun Jin, Kwon Hae Hyo, Kim Tae Woo, and Seo Young Hee.
The newly released poster features a symbolic object from the show: a glass of champagne held in someone’s hand. The countless bubbles swirling inside the glass together with a mysterious image resembling a skull create a strange sense of tension.
The phrase “I’ll help you with your death,” which appears to be sucked into the champagne glass before gradually fading as if heading into a dark abyss, also sparks curiosity. The stark contrast between the chilling black-and-white hand and the sparkling champagne glass further piques interest.
The production team commented, “The teaser poster doesn’t merely mark the beginning of the drama , it symbolically captures the core themes and suspenseful atmosphere of ‘Mary Kills People.’” They added, “Please look forward to a story full of unexpected twists and a narrative unlike anything you’ve seen before.”
“Mary Kills People” is set to premiere on August 1 at 10 p.m. KST.
