GOT7’s Jinyoung may be starring alongside Kim You Jung in the new drama “100 Days of Lies” (literal title)!
On July 29, a media outlet reported that GOT7’s Jinyoung will play the male lead in tvN’s upcoming weekend drama “100 Days of Lies,” scheduled to air in the first half of next year.
In response to the report, Jinyoung’s agency BH Entertainment shared, “It is a project that he has received an offer for and is currently reviewing.”
“100 Days of Lies” tells the story of Gyeongseong’s (now Seoul) top pickpocket who becomes an undercover spy for the independence movement by working at the Japanese Government-General of Korea under a false identity. The drama is written by Ryu Bo Ri, the scriptwriter of “Do You Like Brahms?” and “Trolley,” and will be directed by Yoo In Shik, who helmed “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” and the “Dr. Romantic” series. It was previously revealed last year that Kim You Jung is in talks to play the female lead.
Jinyoung made his acting debut in 2012 with the KBS drama “Dream High 2.” Four months later, in May of the same year, he debuted in the music industry as a member of GOT7. Since then, he has starred in several projects, including the dramas “The Devil Judge,” “Yumi’s Cells,” “The Witch,” and “Our Unwritten Seoul” as well as the film “Hi-5.” He is currently in the midst of filming the new JTBC drama “Shining” (literal title).
“100 Days of Lies” is scheduled to broadcast via tvN in 2026. Stay tuned for more updates!
