SBS’s new comedy sports drama “The Winning Try” has unveiled new stills teasing what’s to come in the upcoming episode!
“The Winning Try” is a new drama starring Yoon Kye Sang as Joo Ga Ram, a former rugby star who falls from grace due to a doping scandal. After he returns to his alma mater as the new coach of its rugby team, which is ranked last in the country, he leads the underdog squad on a quest to win the National Sports Festival.

In the previous episode, Joo Ga Ram and the Hanyang Physical Education High School rugby team scored their first-ever try. However, the episode’s epilogue revealed a looming crisis: the team’s ace freshman Kang Tae Poong (Cho Han Gyul) has decided to transfer schools, leaving the team on the brink of disbandment due to a lack of players.
The newly released stills capture Ga Ram’s desperate efforts to recruit new team members and save the rugby club. In the first two images, he’s dressed in a suit and sunglasses, scanning the scene with a mischievous glint in his eye, raising curiosity about where he’s headed—and what unconventional method he might try next.
Other stills show Ga Ram diving headfirst into his recruitment campaign. One moment, he’s flashing a rare, overly polite smile—comically at odds with his usual sly and carefree attitude. The next, he’s caught up in an unexpected altercation. A restaurant owner (played by Jung Gi Seop) glares menacingly at him, while another image shows Ga Ram lying flat on the ground, arms raised in surrender.
With Ga Ram pulling out all the stops, viewers are left wondering: can he work another miracle for his team, or will this be a try that falls short?
