It looks as though the terrifying Lee Jin Uk may have met his match in JTBC’s upcoming drama “Beyond the Bar”!
“Beyond the Bar” is a new drama starring Jung Chaeyeon as Kang Hyo Min, a confident and compassionate but inexperienced rookie attorney at the law firm Yullim. Under the mentorship of Yoon Seok Hoon, a cold but exceptionally skilled partner at the firm, Hyo Min gradually grows into a true lawyer as she navigates the challenges of the legal world.
Yoon Seok Hoon, the leader of the litigation team, is notoriously hard on the rookie attorneys who are new to the firm. Because the litigation team is on the frontlines of the firm’s lawsuits, their schedule is extremely busy and hectic, with barely a moment for the lawyers to catch their breath. As a result, the no-nonsense Yoon Seok Hoon takes an especially strict and rigorous approach to leading his team.
In newly released stills from the upcoming drama, the intimidating Yoon Seok Hoon takes the mic at an induction session for newly hired attorneys. As he gazes out across the room with an intense, emotionless expression, the tension in the room spikes because of something he says.
While the rookie lawyers begin to grow nervous because of what Yoon Seok Hoon has to say, Lee Jin Woo (Lee Hak Joo) and Heo Min Jung (Jeon Hye Bin)—both associate lawyers on the litigation team—watch their leader anxiously. Every year, there are never enough applicants for the litigation team, and both attorneys are visibly worried that Yoon Seok Hoon will once again drive away all their potential recruits by scaring them off.
However, Kang Hyo Min appears unfazed by Yoon Seok Hoon’s words, wearing a confident smile as she listens to him talk. As Kang Hyo Min graduated at the top of her class at a prestigious law school, all eyes are on her as the entire team eagerly waits to see what team she will choose.
“Beyond the Bar” will premiere on August 2 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
