The upcoming action-hero drama “Twelve” has unveiled a captivating new character poster and stills of Park Hyung Sik!
Inspired by the 12 zodiac animals of the East, “Twelve” tells the story of 12 angels living in the human world in human form to protect the Korean Peninsula from evil spirits. Long ago, the angels barely managed to seal the forces of evil in the gates of hell through their sacrifice, bringing peace. However, with the evil spirits awakening, chaos returns.
Park Hyung Sik plays Ogui, a crow-powered figure who poses a serious threat to angels and the human world. After a battle with angels in the distant past, Ogui was sealed beyond the gates of hell. Thousands of years later, he is awakened by Sa Min (Kim Chan Hyung), who hungers for great power, and begins to cast darkness over the human world. Having lost his memories, he reunites with the 12 angels and is swept into a whirlwind of fate.
Park Hyung Sik said, “Crows are very intelligent animals, but what interested me is that we cannot see what they are thinking on the inside. I approached the role with the idea of giving Ogui similar unclear, unknowable qualities.”
Regarding Ogui’s action scenes, in which he will fiercely face Tae San (Ma Dong Seok) and the other angels, Park Hyung Sik said, “I tried to weave the crow’s elegant, yet sharp, wing movements into the action.”
He executed elaborate wire stunts with precision, drawing admiration on set, and his dynamic action sequences are set to stand out in the dopamine-filled storyline.
Director Han Yoon Seon said, “Although he stands against the 12 angels, I wanted to make him a character who interacts with them, grows alongside them, and can be loved by viewers. I was confident he could portray someone distinct from the 12 angels.”
“Twelve” will premiere on August 23.
