Disney+’s upcoming original series “Low Life” has shared new stills featuring Ryu Seung Ryong!
Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Low Life” is a crime drama that follows a group of down-on-their-luck country folks as they chase after a sunken treasure ship beneath the sea.
Ryu Seung Ryong stars as Oh Gwan Seok, a man willing to do anything to make money. Oh Gwan Seok makes a living through petty fraud and theft with his nephew Oh Hee Dong (Yang Se Jong). He’s a desperate man who will stop at nothing to provide for his family.
After learning about a treasure buried in the waters off the coast of Sinan through an antique dealer in Seoul, Oh Gwan Seok sets off for Mokpo with like-minded partners, hoping to cash in on the find. Drawn by the scent of money, various characters converge at the same location, each hiding their true intentions as they board the same boat.
In the newly released stills, Ryu Seung Ryong perfectly embodies the character of Oh Gwan Seok with a wide-collared shirt and neatly styled short hair reminiscent of the 1970s. His intense gaze as he leans forward over a desk reveals the strong aura of Oh Gwan Seok—a calculating man concealing his true motives while chasing after treasure.
In another image, the fierce look in his eyes as he stares at someone hints at the tension that will unfold as Oh Gwan Seok and his group hunt for the treasure.
The 11-episode run of “Low Life” begins July 16 with three episodes, followed by two episodes each on July 23, July 30, August 6, and August 13.
