tvN’s upcoming drama “Head Over Heels” has unveiled the first episode preview ahead of tonight’s premiere!
Based on a popular webtoon, “Head Over Heels” is a fantasy romance about a boy who is fated to die and the young shaman who tries to rescue him from his fate. Cho Yi Hyun will star as Park Seong A, a high school student who leads a double life as a shaman by night. Choo Young Woo will play her first love Bae Gyeon U, who is plagued by bad luck and was born with the misfortune of a predestined death.
The newly released preview opens with Seong A thinking back to something Gyeon U once said: “Don’t smile at things like that. Smiling doesn’t make bad things any better.” With a faint smile, she mutters to herself, “He should be the shaman, not me…”
The scene then shifts to Gyeon U watching an archery team practice. He quietly observes a student shoot an arrow and hit a perfect ten. This triggers a memory of his own past—back when he was the one at the archery range, flawlessly scoring three perfect tens in a row. As Gyeon U turns to his teammates with a hopeful smile, their cold, unreadable expressions greet him instead. One teammate offers a slow, half-hearted clap, raising questions about why his success was met with such indifference.
Back in the present, Gyeon U watches as the current student’s teammates celebrate his achievement with genuine applause and admiration. Gyeon U lowers his head, his face clouded with sadness at the stark contrast.
