The highly anticipated new film “Omniscient Reader” has offered a glimpse into its unique universe and dynamic characters!
Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “Omniscient Reader” will tell the story of Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), who suddenly finds himself living in the world of a fantasy novel he was reading. Armed with the knowledge of what happened in the novel, Kim Dok Ja sets out to save the world from ending. Lee Min Ho stars as Yoo Joong Hyuk, the protagonist from the novel that Kim Dok Ja read.
The newly released stills depict the moment when Kim Dok Ja, an ordinary office worker, finds himself facing a reality where the world of the novel he has been reading for over 10 years suddenly comes to life during his subway commute home.
Although the world is thrown into chaos in an instant, Dok Ja is the only person who knows how the novel ends. He meets Yoo Joong Hyuk, the protagonist of the novel, and proposes that they join forces but is coldly rejected.
Not only does the unique premise of “the world of a novel becoming reality” stand out, but the stark contrast in attitudes between Dok Ja and Jung Hyuk from their very first encounter also raises curiosity about how their relationship will evolve.
Additionally, the stills introduce a range of characters who will accompany Dok Ja on his epic journey: Yoo Sang Ah (Chae Soo Bin), his coworker who is with him at the moment the novel becomes reality; Lee Hyun Sung (Shin Seung Ho), who possesses superior physical strength and resilience; Jung Hee Won (Nana), who overcomes her pain to fight for justice; Lee Ji Hye (Jisoo), a high school student who follows Jung Hyuk and calls him “Master”; and Lee Gil Young (Kwon Eun Seong), who has the special ability to communicate with insects.
