KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “My Girlfriend Is the Man!” has unveiled the first stills of OH MY GIRL’s Arin in character!
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “My Girlfriend Is the Man!” is a romantic comedy about a college student whose girlfriend unexpectedly transforms into a man.
ASTRO’s Yoon San Ha stars as Park Yoon Jae, an astronomy major who is head over heels for his girlfriend Kim Ji Eun (OH MY GIRL’s Arin). Due to a gene that runs in her family, Kim Ji Eun suddenly turns into a handsome man (played by Yoo Jung Hoo) and begins going by the name Kim Ji Hoon.
Arin plays Kim Ji Eun, a Korean literature student at Yeonhee University who is full of bright, confident energy and is dating Park Yoon Jae. While enjoying a sweet and youthful romance with Yoon Jae, Ji Eun is suddenly faced with the crisis of turning into a man overnight, forcing her to confront her unpredictable fate head-on.
The newly released stills capture Kim Ji Eun attending an internship interview. Wearing a neat suit and sporting a tidy ponytail, she embodies the classic “interview look,” confidently meeting the interviewers’ gazes with bright, determined eyes—proving herself to be the ideal candidate. Another photo shows Ji Eun flashing a wide, vitamin-like smile, raising curiosity about whether she’s just run into her boyfriend Park Yoon Jae.
Arin shared, “From the first time I read the script, I was drawn to its unique premise and to Ji Eun’s character. I hope this drama will bring cool, refreshing energy to viewers during the hot summer.” She added, “Although Ji Eun faces an unexpected situation, she’s a lovable and bright person who tries her best to protect her love. I hope viewers will smile with Ji Eun and gain lots of good energy from her.”
She continued, “All the actors and staff poured their passion into filming this drama together. I hope that viewers will feel that same energy and heart-fluttering excitement through the screen. I will also keep working hard to show better acting in the future.”
