“You and Everything Else” has unveiled new character stills that trace the lives of Kim Go Eun and Park Ji Hyun’s characters across the decades.

“You and Everything Else” tells the story of two lifelong friends, Eun Jung (Kim Go Eun) and Sang Yeon (Park Ji Hyun), whose relationship is filled with love, admiration, jealousy, and even resentment. Deeply intertwined, their bonds are marked by emotional highs and lows.

The stills capture Eun Jung and Sang Yeon at every stage of life—from their first encounter as teenagers, through their twenties and thirties, and into their forties.

The keyword for their teenage years is an “innocent first meeting.” The stills highlight Eun Jung and Sang Yeon’s contrasting personalities during their school days. Young Eun Jung (played by Kim Bo Min, who recently changed her stage name to Do Yeong Seo) is bright and sociable, well-liked by her classmates. Sang Yeon (Park Seo Kyung), on the other hand, struggles to connect with peers. Their differing family backgrounds further shape their bond: Eun Jung grows up in a modest household, while Sang Yeon is raised in comfort and privilege. Between them arises a delicate mix of admiration, envy, and unspoken emotions that mark the beginning of their friendship.

The keyword for their twenties is a “coincidental first reunion.” Eun Jung (Kim Go Eun) and Sang Yeon (Park Ji Hyun) meet again by chance at a university club. Their bright smiles in the stills suggest a warm reconnection, sparking curiosity about what lies ahead. Eun Jung, intrigued by Sang Yeon’s seemingly changed demeanor, wonders about her old friend, while Sang Yeon acts as though nothing has changed—leaving questions about where their relationship will head next.

In their thirties, the keyword shifts to an “uncomfortable second reunion.” Unlike their lively twenties, the stills capture a tense, darker atmosphere, hinting that something unsettling has occurred between them. Eun Jung is unsettled by Sang Yeon, who remains as inscrutable as ever. As the two continue to clash, the drama raises questions about what incidents have marred their friendship and what turning points await them.

Finally, the keyword for their forties is an “incomprehensible request.” After years of distance, Sang Yeon approaches Eun Jung once more, this time with a shocking plea: to accompany her to Switzerland for assisted dying, as she has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Uncomfortable and confused at Sang Yeon’s desperate request, viewers are left wondering what choice Eun Jung will ultimately make and where their story will lead.

“You and Everything Else” is set to premiere on September 12.
