Lee Jun Hyuk and Lee Jun Young shared a heartwarming interaction after the Blue Dragon Series Awards!
During the 4th annual Blue Dragon Series Awards on July 18, Lee Jun Hyuk was one of the four stars who won a Popular Star Award—but when host Jun Hyun Moo called Lee Jun Hyuk’s name, Lee Jun Young mistakenly thought his name had been called instead and went up on stage to receive the award. It was only after he’d already accepted the trophy that he realized his mistake and hurriedly rushed to hand the award to Lee Jun Hyuk, who warmly hugged his embarrassed colleague before going on stage to give his acceptance speech.

After the incident, Lee Jun Young took to Instagram Stories to apologize, writing, “Because I couldn’t hear very well at the venue, I made a completely ridiculous mistake. I would like to apologize once again to both Lee Jun Hyuk and all of Lee Jun Hyuk’s fans. I truly congratulate you on your award!”
Shortly afterwards, Lee Jun Hyuk responded with a sweet post on his own Instagram Stories reassuring the younger actor. Referring to a similar incident at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards (AAA) where Lee Jun Young won an award but Lee Jun Hyuk mistakenly heard his own name and nearly went on stage to accept it, Lee Jun Hyuk wrote, “Jun Young, thanks to you, we all had a good laugh. Don’t worry too much about it; after all, I made the same mistake at the AAA. I think it’s fate. Let’s grab a meal sometime.”

A relieved Lee Jun Young responded to Lee Jun Hyuk’s post by writing, “Thanks to your generosity of heart, I think I’ll be able to sleep well tonight. I’ll be in touch, hyung.”
