MODHAUS has released an official statement in response to recent allegations involving Hwang Bo Min Gyeol, a member of the agency’s upcoming boy group idntt.
Recently, a social media account shared claims from someone who alleged they knew Hwang Bo Min Gyeol personally. The individual accused him of underage drinking and smoking, using his Muay Thai skills to threaten or assault people, as well as propositioning girls for sex and spreading malicious rumors to tarnish their reputations.
On July 21, MODHAUS addressed the controversy, stating that they are in the process of verifying the facts and thoroughly reviewing the allegations. The agency announced that they will “temporarily suspend Hwang Bo Min Gyeol’s activities” and that he will resume his activities and join idntt’s second unit, yesweare, “once the facts are clearly established.” As a result, idntt’s first unit, unevermet, will debut as a seven-member group without Hwang Bo Min Gyeol.
