“My Daughter Is a Zombie” appears to be on track to becoming the biggest box office hit of 2025!
According to the Korean Film Council, as of 8:05 p.m. KST on August 9, “My Daughter Is a Zombie” had recorded a total of 3,055,800 moviegoers. The figure is already the fifth-highest achieved by any film released in 2025.
Having reached the milestone in just 11 days, “My Daughter Is a Zombie” has now become the fastest film of 2025 to surpass 3 million moviegoers. The film managed to hit the 3 million mark one day faster than “Pilot,” the highest-grossing summer movie of 2024, while tying the speed of “Smugglers,” the highest-grossing summer movie of 2023.
Based on the webtoon of the same name, “My Daughter Is a Zombie” is a heartfelt comedy about a devoted father who goes to extreme lengths to protect his daughter, who is the last surviving zombie on Earth. The film stars Jo Jung Suk, Cho Yeo Jeong, Lee Jung Eun, Choi Yu Ri, and more.
