Park Hae Soo may be teaming up with Jeon Do Yeon again for a new drama!
On July 10, SPOTV News reported that Park Hae Soo has been cast as the male lead in the upcoming drama “The Great Bang Ok Sook” (literal title).
In response to the report, a representative from Park Hae Soo’s agency BH Entertainment shared, “He is positively reviewing [the offer] to star in ‘The Great Bang Ok Sook.’”
“The Great Bang Ok Sook” tells the story of a group of women who, in their fight to protect their apartments’ views of the Han River, end up disposing of a body in the river. The drama is based on a webtoon of the same name, created by the authors behind the original “Mask Girl” webtoon.
Park Hae Soo has reportedly been offered the role of Yoon Tae Woong, the head of the apartment association who becomes an arch-rival to the main character Bang Ok Sook.
Back in 2023, Yum Jung Ah was originally revealed to be in talks to play the lead role, but discussions reportedly fell through. Recent reports say Jeon Do Yeon is in positive talks to take on the role, although her agency has yet to comment on the casting news.
Notably, Park Hae Soo and Jeon Do Yeon previously worked together in the stage play “The Cherry Orchard” last June, and will be starring together in Netflix’s upcoming mystery thriller series “The Price of Confession,” which is scheduled to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2025.
