The upcoming film “My Daughter is a Zombie” has officially confirmed its release date!
Based on a popular webtoon, “My Daughter is a Zombie” is a heartfelt comedy film that follows a devoted father who goes into secret training to protect his daughter—now the last surviving zombie on Earth.
The newly released trailer opens with a public announcement warning against any contact with infected individuals, followed by a scene where Jung Hwan (Jo Jung Suk) discovers his daughter Soo Ah (Choi Yu Ri) has been infected.
To protect her, Jung Hwan takes refuge in his hometown of Eunbong Village. When his old friend Dong Bae (Yoon Kyung Ho) sees the drastically changed Soo Ah and awkwardly remarks, “She’s… changed a little,” Jung Hwan and his mother Bam Soon (Lee Jung Eun) deflect with a joke: “She’s just grown a lot—teenage years, you know.”
With Bam Soon and Dong Bae’s support, Jung Hwan embarks on a top-secret training mission to tame Soo Ah. After witnessing Soo Ah recall a dance they used to do together, he finds a glimmer of hope. “If she has memories,” he insists, “she’s not a zombie. She’s alive, Mom!” Determined to restore her humanity, he begins a series of memory and communication exercises, clinging to the hope that his daughter is still in there.
However, tension rises with the appearance of Jung Hwan’s first love Yeon Hwa (Cho Yeo Jeong), who despises zombies and declares, “That’s not your daughter anymore.” Meanwhile, as word spreads about the infected girl, the family faces increasing threats from the outside world.
The trailer ends on a touching note with the line, “Even if the whole world turns its back on you, I won’t give up,” capturing Jung Hwan’s unwavering love. In a moving imagined scene, Soo Ah looks up at him and asks, “Dad, can you wait for me a little longer?” and Jung Hwan, holding back tears, responds, “Of course. I’ll wait.”
