Get ready to dive into the world of “Omniscient Reader”!
Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “Omniscient Reader” will tell the story of Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), who suddenly finds himself living in the world of a fantasy novel he was reading. Armed with the knowledge of what happened in the novel, Kim Dok Ja sets out to save the world from ending. Lee Min Ho stars as Yoo Joong Hyuk, the protagonist from the novel that Kim Dok Ja read.
The newly released posters and teaser captivate with their grand scale. In the new poster, Kim Dok Ja and Yoo Joong Hyuk stare boldly ahead as if drawing the viewers into the world of the novel. Behind them, Yoo Sang Ah (Chae Soo Bin), Lee Hyun Sung (Shin Seung Ho), Jung Hee Won (Nana), Lee Ji Hye (Jisoo), and Lee Gil Young (Kwon Eun Seong) all stare up at the foreboding scenario window that pops up above their heads. The copy, “The novel that only I knew has become reality,” raises intrigue for how Kim Dok Ja and Yoo Joong Hyuk will team up with their new companions to clear challenging scenarios.
In the teaser released alongside the posters, Kim Dok Ja states, “The story that I loved—the one that meant everything to me—has become reality.” On the subway on his way back home from work, a goblin named Bihyung suddenly appears, giving the humans on the subway the mission of killing at least one living thing. As chaos erupts in an unfamiliar new world, the teaser gives a sneak preview of the characters’ signature weapons as they partake in an epic battle for survival. Kim Dok Ja reveals, “We just have to clear up to the 99th scenario,” as he struggles to survive and rewrite the ending of the story he loved. He resolves, “With my companions, I will rewrite the ending of this story.”
