SBS’s new drama “Try: A Miracle in Us” has confirmed its premiere date and shared a glimpse of its first script reading session!
“Try: A Miracle in Us” tells the story of Joo Ga Ram (Yoon Kye Sang), a former rugby star who falls from grace due to a doping scandal. Returning to his alma mater as the new coach of its struggling rugby team, he leads the underdog team—who have consistently ranked at the bottom—on a quest to win the National Sports Festival.
The script reading brought together director Jang Young Seok, writer Im Jin A, and the drama’s talented cast—including Yoon Kye Sang, Im Se Mi, Kim Yo Han, Gil Hae Yeon, Kim Min Sang, Jang Hyuk Jin, Lee Sung Wook, Jung Soon Won, Song Young Kyu, Park Jung Yeon, Kim E Jun, Lee Su Chan, Yoon Jae Chan, Hwang Seong Bin, Woo Min Gyu, Cho Han Gyeol, Kim Dan, Bae Myung Jin, Lee Ji Min, Sung Zi Young, Jung Kang Hee, Oh Soo Hye, and Lee Seung Cheol.
Marking his return to comedy, Yoon Kye Sang captivated everyone at the script reading with his playful charm and magnetic presence. Effortlessly balancing humor and authority, he brought to life Joo Ga Ram—the unpredictable new coach of Hanyang High’s last-place rugby team. His witty delivery of lines like “The coach is here!” had the room bursting into laughter, while his spot-on imitation of a barking dog added to the hilarity. At the same time, Yoon Kye Sang showcased the fierce resolve of a coach determined to protect his players, heightening anticipation for his multi-layered performance.
Im Se Mi impressed as Bae Yi Ji, the sharpshooting coach of Hanyang High’s shooting team and Joo Ga Ram’s ex-girlfriend. Her commanding presence and emotional depth captured both the grit of an athlete and the fiery spirit of someone facing an unexpected reunion with a former flame.
Kim Yo Han also left a strong impression as Yoon Sung Joon, the dedicated captain of the rugby team. He vividly portrayed the inner struggles and fiery determination of a young leader striving to lift his team from the bottom. His natural chemistry and sharp back-and-forth with Yoon Kye Sang captured both the tension and sincerity in their early clashes, raising excitement for how their relationship will evolve.
The rest of the ensemble—including Gil Hae Yeon, Kim Min Sang, Jang Hyuk Jin, Lee Sung Wook, Jung Soon Won, Song Young Kyu, Park Jung Yeon, Kim E Jun, Lee Su Chan, Yoon Jae Chan, Hwang Seong Bin, Woo Min Gyu, Cho Han Gyeol, Kim Dan, and others—added depth and vibrant energy to the scene. Their comic timing and fiery teamwork during the reading further fueled excitement for the drama’s unique team spirit.
