Yoon Kye Sang may be teaming up with Han Suk Kyu and Go Doo Shim in a new drama!
On August 11, EDaily reported that Yoon Kye Sang will be appearing in the upcoming drama “Gwandang” (romanized title).
In response to the report, a representative from Yoon Kye Sang’s agency JUST Entertainment shared, “‘Gwandang’ is a project he has been offered. He is currently reviewing the offer.”
In the Jeju dialect, “gwandang” refers to relatives who perform ancestral rites together. Set against the backdrop of Jeju Island, this noir drama will depict the struggles of people fighting to protect what matters most to them.
Recently, it was also reported that Han Suk Kyu and Go Doo Shim are being considered for roles in the series, which is reportedly in talks for a Netflix release. Both actors have yet to comment on the news.
Yoon Kye Sang has reportedly been offered the role of a charismatic yet burdensome figure within the Boo family, as well as the half-brother of Boo Yong Nam—the boss of the Gwandang faction—whom Han Suk Kyu is said to be portraying.
