KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “My Girlfriend Is the Man!” has unveiled a tense glimpse of Yoon San Ha and Yoo Jung Hoo’s dramatic first encounter!
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “My Girlfriend Is the Man!” is a romantic comedy about a college student whose girlfriend unexpectedly transforms into a man.
ASTRO’s Yoon San Ha stars as Park Yoon Jae, an astronomy student who is head over heels for his girlfriend Kim Ji Eun (OH MY GIRL’s Arin). Due to a gene that runs in her family, Kim Ji Eun suddenly turns into a handsome man (played by Yoo Jung Hoo) and begins going by the name Kim Ji Hoon.
The newly released still captures the moment when Park Yoon Jae and Kim Ji Hoon come face-to-face for the first time. A stranger named Kim Ji Hoon approaches Park Yoon Jae and insists that he is actually Kim Ji Eun. Stunned, Park Yoon Jae shoots up from his seat in anger, while Kim Ji Hoon gazes at him with tearful eyes and softly pleads, “It’s me, Ji Eun…”
Unable to hold back his fury, Park Yoon Jae lands a punch on Kim Ji Hoon. With blood dripping from his split lip, Kim Ji Hoon looks at Park Yoon Jae with tearful, pleading eyes. Will Park Yoon Jae be able to accept that Kim Ji Hoon is actually his transformed girlfriend?
The production team praised both actors, saying, “Yoon San Ha and Yoo Jung Hoo are energizers who keep the atmosphere on set bright. Please look forward to ‘My Girlfriend Is the Man!’ which will showcase their unique synergy and deeply immersive performances.”
“My Girlfriend Is the Man!” premieres on July 23 at 9:50 p.m. KST and will be available to watch on Viki.
